All About Weapons Chains is your guide to equipping your bot for maximum success
Learn to set up your hangar with weapons that match with the All About Weapons Chains Guide from the WRG Team!
Let’s get down to brass tacks, shall we? The All About Weapons Chains Guide was created to help pilots mix and match weapons for maximum effect. With over 30 weapons to choose from amongst three classes – Light, Medium and Heavy – the waters of which to choose can become a bit murky.
There are several variables to picking and pairing weapons together amongst the classes. These include ammo type (Plasma vs. Gun vs. Special), clip size, reload time and effective range. Pixonic has developed chains of weaponry to address these criterium, shown below in the table. There are currently eight chains fully built out. These are:
- The 350m short-range Plasma Magnum-Taran-Redeemer Chain
- The 200m short-range shotgun Gust-Storm-Thunder Chain
- The long-range gunner Molot-Molot T-Tempest Chain
- The 350m homing-missile Aphid-Vortex-Thermite
- The 300m splash damaging Pinata-Orkan-Exodus
- The Recharging-Plasma snipers Arbalest-Ballista-Trebuchet
- The 600m range homing missiles of Spiral-Hydra-Chimera
- The Gatling Gun shredders of Punisher-Punisher T-Avenger

This does not mean, however, that Pixonic has been lazy in their development… on the contrary these have been built out due to the volume of bots which can hold certain numbers of light and medium weapons only. It is a harbinger of what is to come in the future, with high-end heavy ranges most likely arriving in the next few updates. Here is a fully-clickable/interactive version of the infographic from above:
|Light Weapons||Medium Weapons||Heavy Weapons|
An important note here is that you can always intersperse your setups regardless of whether or not it was designed specifically in the chain. For example, Dragoon and Scourge both have similar ranges, while the Aphid and Orkan is a popular combination for Griffin users against speedy bots.*As of 3.6 update*
