It’s here – 3.7 UPDATE: ALL THE DETAILS and even more from the WRG Team
After all the hoopla surrounding the 3.6 Update, the 3.7 Update: All the Details is finally here with bug fixes, weapons rebalances and new weapons and bots!
3.7 Update: Contents
New Features: Battle Rewards
Scourge – The Scourge has become one on the battlefield, however it has been mightily overshadowed by the Shocktrain since its inception. The dev team at Pixonic has just revamped the Scourge to deal considerably more damage the closer a pilot gets to its enemy. The new meta is as follows: 400m is its new watermark at 100% normal damage – but now within 400m, the maximum damage multiplier increases from 170% to a preposterous 250%! The rub however, is that when further than 400m from your target the damage decreases from 50% to 25%. It is now considered a short-medium range weapon due to its new attributes.
Shocktrain – Finally, everyone’s favorite “weapon to hate” has received new characteristics to balance out its saturation on the playing field. Its charges have increased from 5 to 7, while the damage per charge has been “nerfed,” or reduced, from 3,100 per charge to 2,325 per charge. For those wondering what the final outlay plays out at, Shocktrain can deliver 16,275 damage at 7 seconds fully charged vs. its former 15,500 damage output at 5 seconds. Pixonic claims it has the same damage output at just a few seconds longer wait time, but if these figures are accurate then it has indeed been tweaked.
Redeemer – An increased rate of fire is met with reduced damage per shot albeit with a larger clip. A trifecta of changes address some of the Redeemers’ biggest flaws in the former meta. Changes consist of the rate of fire decreasing from 2 seconds to 1.5 seconds, damage per shot dipped from 9,770 to 8,500, and ammo capacity raised from 10 to 12. Pixonic says the DPS has increased by 6.5% when all variables are considered. Perhaps these tweaks will make it a more effective weapon of combat in the near future.
New Robots: Hellburner, Mercury, Pursuer
Three new medium bots have been unleashed on the battlefield in the 3.7 Update. Each has a new and unique Special Ability designed to alter the nature of gameplay. Click on the bots below for more info!
New Weapons: Ion, Thermite
Two new weapons have been introduced to the War Robots’ equipment list in 3.7 – the medium-class Zeus-like Ion, and the heavy-class Aphid-style Thermite. Each pack a punch and are available for components. Both should have an impact in medium-higher leagues and with Thermite’s incredible damage output… the game may never be the same again! Click on each weapon below for more information.
Battle Rewards are the latest addition to the War Robots’ meta of attaining currencies, such as Silver, Gold, Components and Game Tokens (keys). After every match, players earn Honor Points, which accumulate based up performance. When enough points are earned, a new chest unlocks depending on your current league and rewards duly dealt out. Like Supply Drops, the higher the league, the better the rewards. The first set of components on offer are the Tempest, and every two months or so the reward will change up. Just like Supply Drops, which started with Kumiho and now set to Inquisitor, Battle Rewards will run the same way.
Bug Fixes: 3.7 Update: All the Details
The developers have been hard at work not just creating new and unique weapons and bots, but also fixing some of the recurring issues that have been plaguing the game for some time. Fixes include: UI Fixes, no more duplicate tasks, Raijin now unable to climb high on the mountains of the Valley map anymore, and Fury colliding less with high points on the Moon map.
Hope you all enjoyed 3.7 Update: All the Details. Did we miss anything?
