Dreadnought

Wait, doesn’t that ship look rather familiar? The Star Destroyer from Jakku in the Star Wars’ Universe has made its way to War Robots!

The giant ship located in the middle of a desert wasteland (covered in snow during the Christmas Event update) provides not only cover but a tricky terrain to maneuver while attempted to snag the “C” Beacon. Clever pilots can even climb the side of the ship to gain a higher vantage point and snipe at your enemies from on high.

The asymmetrical map (meaning different from both ends) features spawn points at either end of the ship. The tail end has hollow rocket ports while the front has been blown off creating another entrance. Around the sides of the ship is scattered debris of which pilots can take cover behind while trying to capture two beacons.

Strategy

This is a rather large map, so Dash and quick light bots are especially handy. Snipers generally sprint to the top of the Dreadnought (where there is hardly any cover) while slow, heavy bots tend to brawl underneath near the beacon where there are plenty of cramped spaces to hide in. A hole in the roof allows for some shooting down/up towards enemies at different vertical positions.

When capping Beacon “B”, a clever trick is to hide underneath the ramp until you come up near the beam. By Beacon “D” there are two broken tubes in which a bot can hide under while capping the beacon. Recharge your Stealth/Dash ability or use it as cover while reloading weapons and then head out back into battle.

If you are piloting a Griffin or a Raijin, jumping or climbing up the sides of the ship can give you a better attacking position early on in the game. In the late game, these abilities help you take out a pesky sniper that has been picking off your team.
