Game Description:

A scout robot, well-suited for quickly capturing beacons and chasing down quick opponents. The Glide ability opens up a wide spectrum of possible maneuvers.

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s…. Hover!?!? Yeah it hovers but… doesn’t it fly? Shouldn’t it be called “Flyer”? A little “nail on the head” don’t you think?

The Hover is described as a “scout” bot, but there isn’t really anything to scout in War Robots. What it really is, is a medium-class “super-jumping beacon capper” with slightly-less firepower than a Griffin, slightly-more firepower than a Rogatka, and the ability to reach all parts of all maps. The optics of one light hardpoint up top and two side-mounted medium hardpoints makes it look a weird flying Gepard/Fujin hybrid, sans all shields.

Its Glide ability allows Hover pilots to quickly grab a beacon or two on bigger maps, then fly to higher ground and pick off opponents from distance. Experienced pilots will master the massive leaps to conserve fuel and reach your destination without burning through the whole tank. Jumping over a large group of enemies will see them most likely aim high and pick you off with no cover whatsoever, so think before you leap!

Kit out the Hover for whatever type of battle or playing style you anticipate. Close quarters, load up the Orkans and Pinata or Tarans and Magnum. For longer battles, any mix of guns or an Aphid/twin Hydra/Vortex setup can be deadly.
