Game Description:

Four-legged support robot. Stationary mode allows it to repair nearby allies, while two heavy weapon slots make it a formidable enemy on the battlefield.

It’s been years since a new quadrupedal (read: four-legged) hit the War Robots scene. A fresh and new design (read: Raijin with healing boost) has finally arrived with the ability to Repair its teammates. Two heavy hardpoints mean  you can basically run the same setup as Raijin. Since pilots can now heal themselves and teammates per second, two strategies can be employed here – first, hang back and shoot long-range weapons at enemies while serving as a stationary clinic for injured teammates or second, throw on dual Embers or other brawling weapons and set up shop in the heart of battle. Oh, and it can climb up some 90-degree walls too!

Released for the 4.0 Update, Weyland and the bipedal Mender are brand-new healing bots designed to impact the meta towards cultivating teamwork amongst Clans.

According to Pixonic, an added benefit to healing your teammates (as if you needed any other motivation to win a match) is that part of the healing done will up your damage score – meaning that farming Silver (Ag) will be even easier with the new quad bot. One negative to the healing however, is that you will never be able to fully heal teammates. Pixo has given an example as follows:

You have a 150,000 HP Boa

You catch a shot from Kang Dae, taking 17,000 damage head-on…

20% of this damage also subtracted from your maximum HP until the end of the battle. That means Weyland can only patch you up to 150,000 – 17,000*20% =  146,600 Max HP.

So even though your robot can survive much longer under Weyland’s care, it will still gradually deteriorate. At some point, pilots will have to switch to another bot in their hangar.
