Game Description:

Highly mobile and relentless, Galahad makes both a great pursuer and a ferocious defender.

The Galahad is the medium robot entry in the Knights’/British Armed Forces chain of Gareth-Galahad-Lancelot. This beefcake of a fighter has lost its luster as of late due to the high amount of rockets that have entered the game at higher levels – mainly due to the “fire while reloading” system that rocket units now boast. In the medium tier it still attacks and defends well, especially against the new Plasma/Energy weapons in the War Robots meta. Though it lacks Gareth’s considerable speed, its firepower and deployable physical shield means that it can hold its own against the powerful Carnage and Plasma Death Button setups on the Griffin and Rhino. Fujin’s with triple Tarans have even been taken down by leveled-up Galahads.

As a physical shield wielding bot, it is still very susceptible to conventional Death Button (Pinatas/Orkans) and Russian Death Button (Pins/Tulumbas) Griffins and Rhinos. Snipers wielding projectile weapons like Tridents/Nashorn/Kang Dae can do major damage to the Galahad.

When deploying the physical shield, speed drops by -20% which is well worth it when considering the damage you’ll be avoiding. And with the amount of “new” Energy/Plasma weapons currently being used at higher tiers, such as Scourge, Shocktrain, etc) Galahad maintains its value for some time as a beacon capper/defender.

Best practices for Galahad? Deploy as a reactionary weapon in Beacon Rush or Domination as a counter to Energy/Plasma. Keep behind cover at all times to avoid Tridents and other long range sniper guns. Just toss on dual Magnums/Taran or Pinatas/Orkan and start handling the business.

Galahad is named after one of King Arthur’s Knights’ of the Round Table, Sir Galahad, as are all the Knights’ bots (Lancelot and Gareth).
