Game Description:

Long-range energy weapon that burns enemies with a high-powered laser beam. Level of damage is persistent and does not depend on distance. A good choice for anyone who prefers to keep enemies at a distance.

Gekko has a big brother! The Heavy hardpoint version of the light-class legend delivers sustainable damage at long range, keeping those pesky Dash bot and Energy-shielded bots at bay.

Instead of delivering a powerful kill shot like Trebuchet, Flux delivers more of the annoying long burn that Gekko users and victims (aka the haters) know and loathe. The biggest drawback for Flux is not the lack of close range fighting prowess, which of course like Gekko it lacks, but the incredible prices it costs to upgrade. Trebuchet costs 64m Ag to upgrade to level 12 for 19,320 total damage. Flux costs 138m Ag to upgrade to level 12 for 33,500 total damage. Worth it? Your call. Oh… and the upgrade times… don’t even begin….

But if you must, toss two on Natasha with a pair of Gekkos, or three on a Fury. Don’t bother with Butch, its Quick Draw reload ability doesn’t mesh with Flux for effectiveness. Extremely effective on the large maps like Gekko, such as Canyon, Yamantau and Springfield. Carrier has too much cover for enemy reds to hide behind. Base sniping from Valley can be fun if enemies are engaged with your teammates. Enjoy the DPM but you won’t rack up the kills like you would with Trebuchet.

MK2 Levels 1-12 cost the same in terms of time and currency. A 20% damage bonus is added per missile/plasma blast depending on the weapon along with “added durability.”
