Game Description:

Thermite is the heavy-hardpoint version of the light Aphid and medium Vortex. Rounding out the Aphid homing-missile weapons chain, the new homing missile launches a volley of 4 missiles per second dealing serious damage to slow-moving enemy Reds. Once its 3-second lock-on targeting system is engaged it can fire around or over low barriers, however it’s less effective against more mobile targets.

Exactly like Aphid and Vortex, it carries a 10-second reload time and has a target range of 350m. Best practices include paring it with a chain-related weapon (ie. Natasha with dual Thermite/dual Aphid, Lancelot with Thermite/dual Vortex) firing and ducking in for cover while reloading.

While Ancile and Energy Shields can block excess damage, its MK1 Level 12 damage output of 38,400 can seriously maim any target setting pilots up for a terrifying following salvo. When two or three Thermite is loaded, damage can be overwhelming. Pro-Tip: Anciles and Energy Shields always soak up excess damage vs. transferring it to the bot when fired upon. So if your enemy has a low shield health, unload your weapon setup one at a time to ensure maximum damage.

MK2 Levels 1-12 cost the same in terms of time and currency. A 20% damage bonus is added per missile/plasma blast depending on the weapon along with “added durability.”
