The beginner’s guide to homing missiles: the Spiral is one of the first weapons you start with in War Robots and comes equipped on your first Destrier. Affectionately-known as the baby brother of the gold-level weapon Aphid, the Spiral gives novice Pilots three homing missiles of madness that are effective in the beginner stages of your career.

Like the Aphid and its medium-hardpoint cousin, the Hydra, there is no Splash damage to be had. Newbie pilots can couple several of these bad boys together on GI Pattons, Gepards or Leos and cause serious damage when you level them up.

To use the Spiral effectively, enter its 600m range and lock onto your target. If you move your aim slightly left or right, you can curve the missiles towards your target. They are most effective against slower bots or stationary sniper bots. Stalker pilots will start to appear as you level up and you won’t be able to hit them consistently due to their speed and Stealth ability. Once you start to see Stalkers, you’ll know time is up with the Spiral. They are also ineffective vs. ECU shields, Ancile and Energy shields.

MK2 Levels 1-12 cost the same in terms of time and currency. A 20% damage bonus is added per missile/plasma blast depending on the weapon along with “added durability.”

Recommended Weapon Setups: Spydra Griffin with dual Spiral and Hydra, quads on GI Patton and trips on Leo, Gepard, or Destrier.
