Game Description:

Projects an electric arc that does more damage the closer you are to the target. The weapon is perfect against mobile targets as it keeps track of them even if they’re trying to outmaneuver you. Reaches maximum efficiency in melee range while dealing mediocre damage at maximum range. Energy Damage. Bypasses energy shields entirely. Lock-on. Does not require manual aiming at the cost of some time required to lock onto the enemy (3s). Focused fire. Weapon damage depends on distance to the enemy and scales up the closer you are to the target.

“Run. Run like a lamplighter. Should I reach you, you will know what true pain is.” Pixonic

A Gekko-like medium hardpoint energy weapon? And it deals more damage the closer in you get? I’ll take one, two or even three! Released for the Dash bots update, the Scourge is a powerful force when closing in on enemy pilots. Versatility is king with the Scourge.

Competing with the Taran for top spot in the medium-hardpoint energy stakes, the Scourge actually does more damage per second when in the 350m range of the Taran yet it is capable of causing havoc from distance. Another point of comparison is reload time – the Taran can return fire after 4.8 seconds while the Scourge needs a full 5 seconds. The Taran also needs to be aimed manually while the Scourge has a Zeus-like lock on for its shots.

As with all energy weapons, the Scourge ignores Ancile and energy shields yet faces a tough task with physical shields. Attack from the flank or behind and the damage is exceptional.
